Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was remembered with ceremonies organized at SOCAR Türkiye on the 20th anniversary of his passing

At ceremonies held simultaneously in SOCAR Türkiye's Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa and Kayseri locations, the cherished memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was commemorated with deep respect and reverence. The memorial events, hosted by SOCAR Türkiye Acting CEO Elchin Ibadov, were attended by Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva and SOCAR Türkiye employees.

SOCAR Türkiye organized ceremonies at all locations where it operates to commemorate Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, on the 20th anniversary of his passing. Narmina Mustafayeva, Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, attended the ceremony held at SOCAR Türkiye's head office in Istanbul, while simultaneous memorial ceremonies were held in İzmir, Ankara, Bursa and Kayseri locations with SOCAR Türkiye senior management and SOCAR Türkiye employees. During the ceremonies where the national anthems of both countries were sung, wreaths were presented to the busts of Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and a moment of silence was observed.

"Memorial ceremonies and exhibitions of Heydar Aliyev's photographs were organized at SOCAR Türkiye's headquarters in Istanbul and at the group companies in the provinces where it operates for Heydar Aliyev, who expressed the value he attached to the friendship and brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Turkey with the phrase "One nation, two states". The commemoration program took place on Wednesday, May 10 in the museum area of SOCAR Türkiye's Istanbul Headquarters building. Ceremonies were held simultaneously in Istanbul, Izmir Aliağa, Kayseri, Bursa and Ankara.
