Türkiye's First and Only Integrated Petrochemical Company Petkim is listed in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index

With its successful sustainability performance, Petkim was included in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index. Petkim received scores above the sustainability main heading values required in the calculations made to be included in the index.

Petkim, one of the group companies of SOCAR Türkiye, Türkiye's largest integrated industrial group, was included in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index, which includes large and liquid companies with high sustainability performance traded on Borsa İstanbul (İstanbul Stock Exchange), thanks to the steps it has taken within the scope of sustainability. Türkiye's first and only integrated petrochemical company Petkim's overall sustainability rating increased from 45.87 in the 2022 assessment to 70.03 in the evaluation. Thus, Petkim became the first company in the petrochemical sector to be included in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index by exceeding the required sustainability main heading grade levels.

Companies to be included in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index, which started to be published as of November 21, 2022, must have an overall sustainability rating of 70 or above, each main heading rating of 60 or above, and at least 8 of the category ratings of 50 or above. The index, whose sustainability ratings are provided by Refinitiv, is formed by selecting the 25 companies with the highest daily average trading volume and market capitalization of shares in actual circulation among the companies with the minimum sustainability rating.
