At the 2022 Export Stars Awards presented by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association, STAR Refinery and SOCAR Petrol Ticaret secured the first and second spots in the Mineral Fuels category.
The largest integrated industrial holding and the largest direct foreign investor of Türkiye, SOCAR Türkiye, received two awards at the 2022 Export Stars Awards given by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (IKMIB). In the Mineral Fuels category, SOCAR Petrol Ticaret ranked first, while STAR Refinery came in second. The awards for the companies were received by Sinan Üçyiğitler, the Deputy Chief of Operations of SOCAR Türkiye Refinery and Petrochemical Business Unit, during the ceremony held on June 16th.
SOCAR Türkiye solidified its position at the top of the export giants league by securing the first and second places with its two group companies. In 2022, STAR Refinery successfully maintained its uninterrupted production through the integration with Petkim. Alongside direct exports, SOCAR Türkiye's group companies continued to support domestic exporters in 2022 as well.
IKMIB emerged as a prominent export association in Türkiye due to its significant role in contributing to the chemical sector's yearly exports of $33.6 billion, along with the substantial involvement of over 9,000 member companies actively participating in exports during 2022.
