SOCAR Wennovation starts to draw in applications
SOCAR Türkiye is inviting entrepreneurs finding solutions for digital transformation to apply to the SOCAR Wennovation open innovation Challenge program at startup-challenge.socar.com.tr/application-form Applicants will be offered the opportunity to collaborate with SOCAR Türkiye in developing solutions for startups around the world in their efforts to achieve digital transformation in the refinery and petrochemicals industry.
Türkiye’s largest industrial holdings company, SOCAR Türkiye, continues to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem with the Wennovation open innovation platform it initiated last year, aiming to help the transition of innovative ideas into the next stage of development. Last year, SOCAR Türkiye offered business collaboration opportunities to more than 10 initiatives with its Wennovation Challenge, a program that provides entrepreneurs with the chance to introduce their new ideas.
The “Meet-Up” event that will open to everyone online on January 25, 2023, will be an occasion where details of the program and the challenge will be given and questions of viewers will be answered. Another online meeting will take place on March 2, 2023 on “Challenge Day,” where 10 finalist entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to make their presentations to the jury composed of SOCAR Türkiye executives.
The applications to the Challenge program are expected to revolve around the topics of Smart Assets Management; Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment; Refinery and Petrochemicals Operations; Energy Productivity; Sustainability, and Fintech. The program is open for entrepreneurs around the world who have developed a prototype and have the services ready to make use of the solution.
