SOCAR Türkiye’s group companies STAR Refinery and Petkim have secured top positions in the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry’s (EBSO) 2024 list of “The 100 Largest Industrial Enterprises of the Aegean Region.” Based on the “Sales from Production” criterion, STAR Refinery ranked first, while Petkim placed third.
As group companies of SOCAR Türkiye — Türkiye’s largest direct international investor and leading integrated industrial group — both STAR Refinery and Petkim were recognized at the top of the 2024 list published by EBSO. The ranking, based on “Sales from Production,” highlights STAR Refinery as the region’s largest industrial enterprise, with Petkim following closely behind in third place.
Published annually by EBSO, the “100 Largest Industrial Enterprises of the Aegean Region” list serves as a key industry benchmark, reflecting the production performance of companies and offering critical insights for the business community and public institutions. The high rankings of STAR Refinery and Petkim underscore SOCAR Türkiye’s significant economic contribution to the region and the strength of its integrated production model.
According to the announced data, the chemical and plastic products industry recorded the highest sectoral share, reaching a total of TRY 567.2 billion in sales from production — accounting for 53.8% of total sales. This result reflects the tangible impact of SOCAR Türkiye’s integrated value chain in chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as its stable and robust production power.
