STAR Refinery has signed a major agreement to supply jet fuel to Istanbul Airport. Beginning in 2025, the refinery will deliver 700,000 tons of jet fuel annually.
A group company of SOCAR Türkiye — Türkiye’s largest direct international investor and leading integrated industrial group — STAR Refinery has secured a significant fuel supply agreement for Istanbul Airport. Having won the “Istanbul Airport Jet Fuel Supply” tender, STAR Refinery will supply 700,000 tons of jet fuel per year for a period of three years, starting in 2025.
Operational since the end of 2018, STAR Refinery has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons and plays a key role in meeting Türkiye’s refined petroleum product demand. With the capacity increase implemented at the end of last year, STAR Refinery now operates as the refinery with the largest single-point refining capacity in Türkiye.
